About Us
In early 2022 our family packed up our home in Ottawa and moved to a charming 60 acre property in Carleton Place, Ontario, to live out our dream and build our family farm.
After working as a professional Chef for 15 years, striving to produce great tasting food with high quality ingredients, Joey turned his focus to food production, which lead to a determination to provide more sustainable local produce for people to enjoy. Meanwhile, Robyn’s near decade of experience as a Registered Nurse working with the tiniest humans and their families in the NICU, furthered her natural compassion for capturing special moments among friends, families and communities.
Together our family began the search for the perfect place to create and share our passions with the local community. Whether that be by thoughtfully designing a bouquet of fresh local blooms to brighten someone's day, bringing people together to connect over fresh produce and meals, or hosting and coordinating all the details for you to create fond memories with loved ones, we found the perfect setting for this on our Sixty Acres farm.
Together our family created Sixty Acres with the intention of connecting a community through locally grown food of the highest standard. We focus on a rehabilitation approach to growing food, applying concepts that embrace biodiversity, and soil regeneration. We grow a wide variety of produce, working thoughtfully with the environment around us, striving to replenish soil and intern producing exceptional quality.
During the growing season our farm stand offers fresh vegetables, flowers, and eggs, as well as Chef prepared items like our signature butter tarts & salsa. Additionally we specialize in catering intimate events featuring high quality ingredients grown right here on our farm.
We began and continue on this journey as a family with a lot to learn and even more to grow. We invite you to reach out to us and come visit us soon!
